This mostly fermented black tea is collected from protected forests in the mountainous region of the Yunnan province of China. Many of the tea plants in these forests have actually been preserved for thousands of years, which explains the given name of this harvest.
Expect a smooth, malty, and sweet cup of amber brew, with little astringency.
And because this versatile and luring tea is not entirely fermented as most black teas are, it also tends to appeal to the green tea lover.
